LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- An East Bernstady, Ky. food establishment Truitt Brothers Inc. recalls cheeseburger mac products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.
A recent check at Truitt Brother's Inc. believes the labeling got mixed up with incorrect ingredient lines.
An estimate of 1.77 million pounds of shelf-table pasta and ground beef products from the company have hydrolyzed soy protein and dried soy sauce that are not declared on some of the product labels.
The pasta and beef products were produced produced between May 6, 2013 and Jan. 16, 2014 and shipped to Kraft Foods distribution centers and retail locations nationwide.
Kraft products such as the 9-ounce microwaveable containers of Kraft Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Singles - Ultimate Cheeseburger Mac with a used/sell by date code 02 March 2014 through 23 October 2014 have the undeclared soy ingredients.
No other Velveeta or Kraft products are impacted by the recall.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Services (FSIS) or Kraft Foods have received no reports of allergic reactions from the soy ingredients.
Anyone concerned about a possible reaction should contact their health care provider.
