(WHAS11) -- Federal safety regulators are investigating complaints the throttles on older Ford Escapes could stick and cause them to crash.
The investigation includes 730,000 Ford Escapes and Mazda Tributes from 2001 to 2004 model years.
We are told there were 13 crashes, nine injuries and one death.
The Escapes involved were not made in Louisville.
