(WHAS11) -- McDonald's customers may not be lovin' it. The fast-food chain finished last in a ranking of its restaurant peers in a report released in June.

McDonald's received a 73 percent satisfaction score on the American Consumer Satisfaction Index.

In a statement the company says they take customer satisfaction seriously and continue to make improvements.

Locally Papa John's scored the highest on the list with an 83 percent satisfaction ranking.

Yum! Brands companies Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and KFC were close to each other scoring 78, 77 and 75 percent respectively.
