(WHAS11) -- January 3 is National Return Day. It is the busiest day for holiday returns.
It will mean more volume than normal for UPS employees at worldport in Louisville. Company wide, UPS is expected to handle more than 520,000 returns.
This week they will transport more than two million packages back to the supplier.
UPS says last year retail returns shot up 15-percent from 2011. The likely reason is that more people are buying online which means more return packages.
