LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) --Gas prices are falling across Kentuckiana and with a softening global economy, that has cut demand for oil, prices are expected to drop even more.
The Lundberg Survey of gas prices released Sunday says the national average price for gas has dropped 15 cents over the past two weeks and now stands at $3.48 a gallon.
Lower gas prices could be a bright spot for consumers in a weak economy; leading to increased spending in other areas but some are pocketing the savings amid financial uncertainty.
Right now the average price for gas in Metro Louisville is $3.38 a gallon according to gasbuddy.com.
Kentucky's average is $3.27 with prices as low as $3.11 in Elizabethtown. Indiana's average is $3.40.
