(WHAS11) -- Ford has issued yet another recall, and this time it's for nearly half a million Escapes.
Ford is recalling nearly half a million older Escapes amid concerns over a potentially deadly problem with sticking accelerator pedals.
The new recall affects 2001 to 2004 models that have 3-liter, V-6 engines with cruise control.
Ford says the issue does not spontaneously cause the vehicle to accelerate, but the accelerator can get stuck after the driver has pressed the pedal all the way, or most of the way down.
The Escapes included in this most recent recall were not made in Louisville.
