LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- There are only 22 days until Thanksgiving, when many of us will be welcoming a house full of people for a Thanksgiving feast.

Forget about the stress of getting the bird just right, making that signature stuffing or perfecting that pumpkin pie, many folks are much more concerned about the dirty, cluttered house. Why not give yourself a break this year?

"Thanksgiving to me, I would prefer to be at the grocery store shopping as opposed to scrubbing down my walls," said Angela Duggan, who uses a house cleaner once a week.

During the holidays with extra attention given to the kitchen and bathrooms, she prefers the convenience of communicating with a consistent name and face, but there are opportunities for deals with companies like Groupon.

"If you're considering buying a deal on housecleaning, be sure you ask questions and understand exactly what you are getting so that you can be confident that you're not going to get an up charge for things after the fact and that the person you are buying the deal from knows exactly the condition of your home," she said.

If you do decide to hire a housecleaner for the holiday, book as early as possible. Cleaning companies fill up fast this time of year.
