LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Forget about long lines at national retailer Friday, local retailers want you to take part in Small Business Saturday.
It's an initiative to help neighborhood retailers get a bigger piece of the holiday pie. The day encourages shoppers in Kentuckiana to take a break from major retailers and buy unique goods you'll only find here.
This is the third year for Small Business Saturday.
It's purposely scheduled between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
