LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The wait is over. Across Kentuckiana shoppers spent hours, even days camped out for Black Friday deals. Some Stores like Toys R Us opened at 8 p.m. on Thursday. Target opened at 9 p.m. The line wrapped around the building, but Tina Metzer was first. She showed up at 2:30 p.m.
"My family's gone and it's a nice, good day. I came last year and it was freezing," Metzer said.
Many shoppers said it's a tradition.
"We do this every year. It's like a high. You know a kid going into a candy store, that's what it's like," Michelle Horvath said.
