(WHAS11) - Get ready for those Black Friday deals!
WHAS11 News got to peek inside the Courier-Journal's production room as they finished putting the Black Friday ads together.
Get ready for more than 700 pages of deals to land at your door-step.
Bargain hunters and those that just like to be out in the hustle and bustle of Black Friday are gearing up for the Super Bowl of shopping.
Thomas Letto is the production director at the Courier-Journal newspaper.
He says to get the Thanksgiving inserts ready for Thursday took 150 machine hours.
You could say Thanksgiving is their Christmas.
“We have roughly about 59 preprints going out totaling about 788 pages,” he says.
The ads are top secret but WHAS11went on line and got a good look at some of the ads.
Best Buy is selling Garmin GPS systems for $100.
Sears is selling HD-TV's for $700.
Macy’s ad offers a $10 off coupon.
The door buster deals are still in effect but now many retailers are offering the sale for a longer period of time.
Thomas Letto didn't have a figure on how much revenue the Thanksgiving ads brought in to the paper this year but he said they had as many ads this year as last year.
And about the extra delivery fee for Thursday's paper, he says because the ad section is so thick it’s going to be that much more work for the delivery team.
