Multiple people say Stacey Elzy filed their taxes but took off with their refund and stimulus money.

Ashley Couts is the most recent woman to come forward.

Elzy is accused of depositing Couts' $300 stimulus check into her personal account.

Elzy appeared in court Wednesday to answer to the theft charge.

Her case is now being sent to the grand jury.

Elzy left off before WHAS1111 could question her, but her attorney says she did what she felt was in the best interest for her clients.

Two other woman say Elzy did the same thing to them.

Martha Marshall and Shirley Harvey filed charges earlier this summer.

Couts says she believes Elzy could have done something similar to even more people.

Elzy's case goes before the grand jury next month.
