NEW YORK -- Real estate agents, not teachers or nurses, are the ones happiest with their careers, according to Forbes.
Forbes compiled a list of the country's 10 happiest jobs, based research by Career Bliss.
The findings reflect the responses of more than 65,000 employees who evaluated 10 factors that affect workplace happiness, including relationships with the boss and co-workers, compensation, and growth opportunities.
According to Forbes, respondents evaluated the factors on a five-point scale and indicated how important each item was to their overall happiness. Their ratings were then averaged and sorted by occupation to determine the happiest jobs.
Real estate agents topped the list, with an index score of 4.26. Respondents from this field indicated they are more than satisfied with the control over their daily work.
