LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- KFC, a division of Louisville-based YUM! Brands, is eliminating an unknown number of positions Friday as part of a reorganization.
Information is limited at this time, but a KFC spokeswoman said in an emailed statement to WHAS11 News that KFC has "increased investment in some functions," but is also eliminating positions at their corporate offices and in the field as part of this reorganization.
The statement says these moves are part of a bigger reorganization effort by the company. The statement goes on to say the reorganization will "maximize efficiencies and better reflect current business needs."
The statement concluded by saying, "we are fully committed to dramatically improving our business performance and our guests’ experience. We are doing everything possible to help support those affected by the reorganization in their transition.”
At this time, it is not known how many employees will be impacted.
WHAS11 is working to find out more on this developing story.
