(WHAS11)— New Washington Middle and High School in Indiana was broken into Tuesday morning and police say the man responsible was caught in the act.
Clark County sheriff's deputies found Jason Hopkins inside the school at about 3 a.m. Tuesday morning, wearing a mask and carrying a crowbar.
They say Hopkins broke into the school's office and stole money. He is charged with burglary.
Deputies say the office was damaged and the alarm keyboard pad next to the door was destroyed.
The damage, however, wasn't enough to disrupt school activities.
