LOUISVILLE, Ky. (News Release) — Storm repairs are wrapping up at the Crowne Plaza Louisville.
On July 19, a severe storm ripped the roof façade off the eight story tower and damaged the attic sprinkler system, sending water into the top three floors of guest rooms.
Work has continued around the clock to get those guest rooms ready for the 43rd annual Street Rod Nationals this week at the Kentucky Exposition Center. The hotel is hosting a tailgate party with music, food, corn hole, and much more beginning Thursday, August 2 through Saturday, August 4 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Repairs to the roof facade are expected to be completed in about six weeks. The hotel has continued operations without interruption since the storm.
