SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—With less than a week to go until the anticipated opening of the Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass, police have finalized their traffic plans.

Kentucky State Police have finalized a plan for the opening of the outlet mall on July 31, due to the expected high volume of visitors. The plan will facilitate a smooth flow of traffic in the area.

Digital signs will be posted along I-64 to advise motorist of the lane usage. Areas affected included I-64 both eastbound and westbound near Exit 28, KY Hwy. 60 and Buck Creek Road in Shelby County.

Those planning to travel through the area or visit the Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass on it’s opening weekend can check KSP’s Facebook and Twitter pages or visit their website at kentuckystatepolice.org. Those looking for the traffic congestion can view traffic flow by clicking here
