INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Indiana's unemployment rate held at 9.7 percent for January as some 327,000 people were looking for work.
The state Department of Workforce Development statistics released Wednesday revised December's jobless rate to 9.7 percent from the preliminary rate of 9.9 percent.
Indiana matched the national unemployment rate.
Workforce Development Commissioner Teresa Voors says the state's rate is holding steady thanks to slowing job losses.
Non-farm employment declined by 2,000 in January, but manufacturing, financial and business services reported significant employment jumps.
Indiana continues to report the lowest unemployment among its neighboring states.
