LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Changes are coming Monday for Kentuckiana drivers as the Ohio River Bridges Project continues.

Drivers will notice a big change on I-65 north at Exit 0 coming off the Kennedy Bridge.

Walsh construction will shift traffic from the existing ramp to a newly constructed ramp. The exit will be 200 yards sooner than the old exit and officials urge motorist to be alert and pay attention to the posted signs.

Speed will be reduced in the area to 25 mph as drivers cross over a short temporary ramp, and essentially, make a hard right turn.

"We need to move that traffic out of where it is now and move it into a new position. We're moving the traffic out of our next work zone so we can build the new structures in that location," Max Rowland with Walsh construction said.

The changes will take place after the morning commute, around 9 a.m., and expect to have the switch over complete by 4 p.m.
