VINE GROVE, Ky. (WHAS 11) -- Two people were taken to the hospital after a car collided with a semi in Meade County.
The driver of the car and semi have been taken to Hardin County Memorial Hospital and are being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
It happened just before 3 a.m. on US-60 at Warren Lane.
The accident caused the semi to spill its load of 35 cattle.
About 10 of the cattle are confirmed dead and some were euthanized at the scene.
Police said the driver of the car was driving drunk in the left hand shoulder headed in the wrong direction when the truck swerved to avoid her. The driver of that car, who was injured, will be charged with a DUI and reckless driving.
US-60 is now open and the accident has been cleared.
