LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – One person is dead and two others were hospitalized overnight after an accident involving a UPS truck Monday night.

The accident happened just before 11 p.m. near the backside of Churchill Downs on the 4000 block of S. Third Street.

Police said a UPS truck was traveling south on S. Third Street and collided a Chevy Impala at the intersection of S. Third  and Kenton streets. Police said the Impala did not stop at the sign on Kenton Street.

One passenger from the Impala, 19-year-old Kendall Daub, died at the scene and the driver was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.  A backseat passenger was not injured. Police said all three people traveling in the Imapla were not wearing their seat belt.

The UPS driver was also injured and was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation and police said they have not ruled out speed, drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash and it is too early to determine exactly what happened.

Daub attended the Paul Mitchell School of Louisville and was a graduate of Butler High School.
