LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A judge has ruled Stan Curtis, USA Harvest Founder accused of money laundering, is competent to stand trial.
Curtis’ attorney plans to appeal the judge's decision.
Curtis showed no reaction to the decision. He looked forward, glassy-eyed, with his mouth partially open for most of the hearing.
Curtis' lawyer, Scott Cox, says Curtis is in such bad condition he did not understand Thursday's decision.
He was charged with money laundering a year ago, but has yet to stand trial after a number of health problems, including kidney failure, weight loss and at one point, he was in a coma.
Curtis is accused of spending nearly $400,000 of USA Harvest money on personal meals, entertainment and travel.
