LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The man killed in an accident on the Clark Memorial Bridge on Wednesday has been identified as Everett Prater, 64, from Jackson, Ky.
Prater was taken to University Hospital where he died during surgery at 5:17 p.m. His cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the wreck with a dump truck.
According to the LMPD their preliminary investigation reveals Prater, who was driving a blue Pontiac, northbound on the bridge for some unknown reason lost control of his vehicle and swerved over into the southbound lanes of traffic and struck a dump truck that was southbound on the bridge.
The bridge opened after two hours of being closed.
