LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- At least one person sustained injuries in an accident involving a moped and JCPS bus in the 5600 block of Southside Drive.

JCPS says a car hit the moped and the bike went under the JCPS bus. There are no injuries on the bus.

According to officers on the scene, a Jeep caused the crash.

The bus was in the front of the line of traffic and had stopped when the Jeep struck the back of the moped that was carrying a man and his six-year-old son.

The moped reportedly slid under the bus, while the father fell onto the street and the boy fell into the grass in the median.

Both were transported to a hospital (University and Kosair) and were treated with non-life threatening injuries.

The Jeep took off from the scene and police are still searching for the vehicle.

No one on the bus was injured.
