LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Louisville community leaders stood together Saturday with a goal of winning the war against violence.
The Youth Alert Forum featured presentations from groups like Youth-Build, Boys and Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana, The Fairness Campaign and others.
The groups discussed how to prevent violence, particularly among young adults, and how adults and the youth can meet halfway to achieve this goal.
“A program like this brings people together who are working on this and gives us ideas how to help our children so they learn to become better citizens,” SPAVA founder Tim Banerjee said.
This was the third Youth Alert Forum in Kentucky and the second in Louisville.
