LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – One local woman is showing her love for the Wildcats as they make their way through the NCAA tournament.
"I love them. I absolutely love them. Everybody says that they're amateurs and they can't match up, but I have a feeling they may take it," Rhonda Wilson said.
When the team takes the court on Friday, Rhonda Wilson's yard will be a little less green.
"Every time they play I go add something else," Wilson said.
Wreathes, streamers, flags--you name it. Blue and white everywhere!
"I'm proud of it; I like it. A lot of people probably think I'm crazy, but I like it," Wilson said.
Since she retired, Wilson has been doing this every basketball season.
"This is going to be a light pole. This is going to light up and make the basketball glow," Wilson said.
Wilson said she spends around eight hours a day making decorations.
Her efforts don't go unnoticed.
"I hear so much horn blowing out there, oh wow. Especially at night when it's all lit up, because it all lights up blue," Wilson said.
For Rhonda, it's all Cats everything, but she's already hard at work making some red and black decorations for the University of Louisville. She says if Kentucky does get beat on Friday, she'll be cheering for Louisville to win a national championship.
