LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Member of the Harrods Creek Fire Department are being hailed heroes after a Prospect woman and her five cats escaped from their burning home.
Those members of the fire department were reunited with Joyce Miller, the homeowner, Thursday.
The fire happened recently in an upstairs bedroom. Miller’s smoke detector went off and a dispatcher from her security company called to notify her of the fire.
Miller was able to get out of her home with her five cats.
On Thursday, Miller was also reunited with the dispatcher who helped her. ADT awarded the Harrrods Creek Fire Department with a $5,000 grant.
