(WHAS11) -- The woman charged with giving birth inside a prison bathroom and killing her newborn daughter will spend at least 12 years in prison.
Ashley Cox pleaded guilty to manslaughter and other charges Tuesday.
Cox gave birth to a baby in March of 2010 at the Roederer Correctional Complex in Lagrange.
Police say she put toilet paper in the baby's mouth and put the body in a trash can. Cox will not be be eligible for parole for 12 years.
