(WHAS11) -- A New York City woman is behind bars after a charity scam involving the Sandy Hook Elementary massacre that killed 26 people.
Federal officials say just hours after the shooting Nouel Alba posted on Facebook that she is the aunt of one of the victims and asked for money for Noah Pozner's funeral fund.
She is also accused of sending dramatic text messages to donors saying she is a mess and describing the 11 bullets in Pozner's body.
The boy's family says they are disgusted.
Alba is charged with lying to federal agents . She was released on $50,000 bond.
If convicted Alba faces up to five years in prison.
