TULSA, Okla. (WHAS11) -- Instead of stealing the ingredients to make meth from a store and cooking up the drug at home, police in Tulsa, Okla. say they arrested a woman because she was mixing up the meth inside a Wal-Mart.
“I've been a police officer here in Tulsa for 23 years and this is the first time I've had anybody, or been involved [with] someone who was actually mixing it in the store. There's elderly people, there's children, there's all kinds of people in that store right now,” said Officer David Shelby of the Tulsa Police Department.
Police say Elizabeth Halfmoon was inside the store for at least 6 hours.
They say she was taking chemicals from bottles inside the store and them mixing them together.
One police officer was injured when the chemicals in the bottle burned his hand.
Nobody else was hurt.
