Winter Weather Advisory Tuesday 1 AM-1PM.  Metro could receive 1-3".  (See map for totals)

Timing
- 4 AM: Metro (Heaviest during morning commute 7-9AM)
- 7-8 AM: Pkwys South
- 11 to Noon: Ending (After 2pm far south)

Metro Snow Amounts
- 7-8 AM: Around 1"
- 10AM: 1.7"
- 11 to Noon: 2 to 2.5"

Bad timing for the snow, with the heaviest likely to fall during the Tuesday morning commute, causing slick roads (possible school delays/closings).  Gusty winds tomorrow  (NW 15-35). Temps falling into the teens/low 20s (Wind Chills: Single Digits!)  by afternoon/evening.

Radar/Satellite

Shows the Low just north of St. Louis.  Reports of 1 to 2.5" as of 11pm Monday in northern IL.

Futurecast

Showing some snow moving into the Metro after 3am with the heavier snow sitting just northwest of the viewing area.

It looks like the heaviest snow will be moving through the Metro during the rush hour between 7 to 9 AM.  That could mean a very messy morning commute.

Look for the snow to move south of the Metro around midday.

And leaving our southern counties during the afternoon.

Snow Totals

Turning Cold And Windy
