(WHAS11) -- First the White House tours, now the Easter Bunny could be getting the ax because of lack of government funding.

A favorite Easter event at the White House, the Easter Egg Roll, is in jeopardy of being canceled.
The end of the Egg Roll as well as a partial government shutdown is on the horizon if Congress fails to extend funding authorization by the March 27 deadline.

White House officials have alerted all ticket holders that the "event is subject to cancellation due to funding uncertainty," but say at this point the Easter Egg Roll is still planned for April 1.
