LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The stabilization of the dilapidated buildings on Whiskey Row is nearly complete.
That means Washington Street between 1st and 2nd Streets will reopen Wednesday.
The road has been closed for nearly two years.
The covered walkway for pedestrians on Main Street between 1st and 2nd Streets will remain for several months.
Whiskey Row dates back to the 1830's and at one point included more than 100 bourbon related companies on Main and Market Streets.
