Washington County sheriff's deputies accused of running covert drug-trafficking operation

(WHAS11)  Two Kentucky sheriff’s deputies, are finding themselves on the other side of the law; they’re accused of selling marijuana.
 

In Washington County, about 60 miles southeast of Louisville, Kentucky state police were among the agencies involved in the investigation of deputies Wayne Bartley and Billy Mattingly.
 

Bartley and Mattingly are accused of running a covert drug-trafficking operation; allegedly selling marijuana.
 

Bartley has been a deputy in Washington County for 6 years and Mattingly for 3.  Both have been fired from the sheriff’s department.
