Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - This is the 61st year for the WHAS Crusade for Children, and the community has helped raise $154 million in that time.

For the last 20 of those years, WHAS11's Melissa Swan has been a big part of the effort.

She has been hosting the Crusade for 20 years, the last 15 of which she has co-hosted with Terry Meiners.

The WHAS Crusade for Children kicks off at 1 p.m. on June 7.

All the entertainment is set for the Kentucky Center's Bomhard Theater, featuring J.D. Shelburne, Patrick Hughes, the Diane Moore Dancers and the Miracle Dancers.

The overnight telethon begins at 11:30 p.m, and the big reveal of the total raised will be on Sunday evening.
