Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - A snafu with a printing company is being blamed for a mistake mailer sent out to some voters by the Kentucky Board of Elections.
The State Board of Elections says that about 70 thousand voters in seven counties, including Jefferson and Oldham, received letters stating they were not properly registered to vote and needed to contact their county clerk.
This all comes before the primary on May 20.
WHAS11 has been told that voters were supposed to get letters telling them of their polling places.
The state told WHAS11 that the printing company sent voter notifications on behalf of county clerks and sent incorrect information. New letters will be sent out soon.
