HODGENVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The embattled Hodgenville, Kentucky mayor and city clerk are still in office after a vote to have them removed their positions did not happen as scheduled.

Hodgenville Mayor Terry Cruse and Clerk Madonna Hornback have been indicted for misusing city funds.

An attorney hired by the City Council laid out the charges during Monday evening’s meeting, including using city gas cards for their own personal use.

The city attorney told the council they didn’t give proper notice of their meeting and the mayor wasn’t told on what basis he would be removed, so the council delayed the meeting until May 1.
