Vine Grove, Ky. (WHAS11)- Vine Grove has sworn in a new police chief.
Kenny Mattingly was sworn in as chief during Monday night's city council meeting.
Mattingly grew up in Vine Grove, and began his law enforcement career with the Vine Grove Police Department in 1988.
He was recommended from a pool of eight applicants, and then selected for the job by Vine Grove Mayor Blake Proffitt.
