LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A University of Louisville women’s basketball player was rushed to the hospital after collapsing on the bench during the game versus Missouri State.

 
University officials say guard Antonita Slaughter was taken to an area hospital for observation.
 
According to head coach Jeff Walz said the moment reminded him of the Kevin Ware incident with the exception of Slaughter having apparent convulsions and wasn’t responding to anyone.
 
Her brother A.J. Slaughter sent out a message on Twitter thanking everyone for their prayers.
 
Slaughter was awake and answering questions according to U of L.
 
There is no word on what caused her episode. 
 
The Cardinals continued play in the second half defeating Missouri State 91 - 49.
