Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - The silos near the University of Louisville’s campus will likely be torn down in the beginning of next week.
UofL officials said the work is expected to begin in the middle of this week.
The silos have been a landmark along I-65 for years, and the project will cost the school about $690,000.
Spectators will not be allowed on the property, but thry will be able to see the work from Floyd Street.
The site is being cleared after UofL bought it last year. The property will be short-term parking for UofL football games until the university decides what will go in that space.
