LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The University of Louisville Board of Trustees has given President James Ramsey a glowing review and a four-percent raise along with it.

The school says the board recommended a six-percent pay raise but Ramsey requested a smaller increase, saying it was in line with the average salary increase that will go to other UofL faculty and staff.

In its evaluation, board members cited Ramsey's leadership on reaching the majority of goals set, including graduation rates, degrees awarded, diversity, fundraising and athletics.
