BOISE, Idaho—ABC News confirmed that United Airlines flight 1603 from Houston to Seattle was diverted to Boise, Idaho after the pilot experienced a medical emergency.
Boise Airport Police said that they received a call shortly before 8 p.m. local time to have the flight diverted because the pilot reportly suffered a heart attack.
There are 161 passeners and 6 crew members aboard the flight when diverted.
United would not comment on the pilot’s condition, but a spokeserson from St. Alphonsus Hospital confirms that the pilot had died.
The crew and passengers departed Boise last night and arrived at their destination of Seattle early this morning.
