LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The court battle is over for USA Harvest founder Stan Curtis after he pleaded guilty to theft charges in federal court Tuesday.
In less than an hour Curtis admitted to a judge he is guilty of stealing for the charity he started and defrauding the government.
Accusations of mail fraud, money laundering and tax evasion first surfaced in September 2012, but Curtis fell ill shortly after charges were filed and he was hospitalized for months.
WHAS11's Karma Dickerson was in the courtroom and said Curtis admitted to stealing $183,000 in donations.
