LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Shepherdsville man is accused of robbing six Louisville bank in the past month.
Police say Joseph Chambers is charged with six counts of robbery. He is accused of robbing banks in South Louisville, East Louisville and The Highlands.
Michael Yocum faces three robbery because, police say, he was the getaway driver in some of those robberies.
In the latest robbery attempt, police say Chambers threatened the teller with a hand grenade.
"We were conducting the surveillance of these two individuals on Friday and happened to be following them at a time when the robbery took place. Shortly after the robbery upon fleeing to the getaway car, we were able to capture both suspects," said Eric Black with Louisville Metro Police.
Police say Yocum could face additional charges if they're able to tie him to more of the robberies.
