OLDHAM COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) – A social media campaign to get a North Oldham High School senior on ESPN was a success.

Tee Salinas was featured on the famed SportsCenter program Friday night just hours after he suited up to score the first points of North Oldham’s game against DeSales.

Salinas, who has Down syndrome, has been the manager of the Mustang’s basketball team since the 6th grade and hit the hardwood for the very first time.

His parents say the Twitter campaign to get his son on SportsCenter really took a life of its own.

After Salinas’ big moment on national television, many of his classmates and loved ones took to social media again tweeting things like “anything is possible” and thanking ESPN.
