(WHAS11)-- Viewers have been calling the WHAS11 Newsroom wondering about the tornado sirens they have heard in southern Indiana.

The sirens were triggered by a statewide test from 7:30-7:45 p.m, according to Chief Meteorologist Monty Webb.

There is no severe weather in the area, it is only a test to prepare residents for the upcoming sever weather season.
