LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville toddler has died nearly a week after he was found unresponsive, floating in the pool at his grandfather's home.
Seventeen-month-old Cord Reed died at Kosair Children's Hospital Monday morning.
Last week Reed was found by his grandfather in an above-ground pool at the grandfather’s home on Sandalwood Court in Okolona. Officials said Reed’s grandfather performed CPR until paramedics arrived on the scene.
Police said they believe Reed’s death is an accident.
A funeral for Reed will take place Thursday, July 5 at noon.
