LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Louisville developer and former mayoral candidate is facing a lawsuit after he was charged last month with attacking his on-again, off-again girlfriend.
The suit against Chris Thieneman was filed in Jefferson County Court on Friday.
According to court documents, the girlfriend says she and Thieneman were arguing in a car on Brownsboro Road when they got out and fought over her cell phone.
That’s when she says Thieneman tried to choke her.
Thieneman was charged with wanton endangerment and assault.
He pleaded not guilty last month while his lawyer states he never attacked the woman.
Thieneman is set to be back in court on Friday for a pre-trial hearing.
