LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Arrow Fund is getting all sorts of calls from people and corporations wanting to help a wounded collie, named Lad, get on a plane to California.

Phone calls have been pouring in to The Arrow Fund and they say they are looking at a few options, but may need more.

The collie was shot in the face in Owensboro in February and lost its lower jaw. Lad is recovering at the BluePearl Veterinary Hospital in Louisville.

The Arrow Fund needs to get Lad to the University California Davis in Sacramento where they will reconstruct the jaw.

They are hoping a private plane, corporate jet or airlines would waive the fee to get Lad there for treatment.
