(ABC News) — A disturbing video out of a Texas shows a school bus driver caught on camera mocking a crying girl - even encouraging other children to taunt her, too.
It's an exclusive from ABC affiliate KFAT.
That outrageous video is sparking a firestorm among parents and ABC news learned Thursday the bus driver is now off the job.
The video from inside the school bus from an elementary school near San Antonio, Texas, was captured right before spring break.
It shows the driver on the left and you can hear her yelling as the young girl cries.
"Cry baby," the bus driver said. That's the bus driver on the left.
That's right, the bus driver calls the girl a cry baby.
But it doesn't end there. The driver then urges the other kids on the bus to join in and mock the girl.
"Cry, cry, cry. I want my mama," the driver says in the video.
One student reportedly says a sign in the bus reads "no bullying."
Mothers of kids on that bus are speaking out. I can't believe they would allow this.
One mother who wanted to remain anonymous said she is furious.
"She treated the children as if she were a child herself bullying the child," the mom said.
The superintendent said she agrees and told ABC News the bus driver in question is no longer employed by the school district.
"I was very concerned with that and it's definitely not appropriate," the superintendent said.
The school's PTA is also sounding off, saying in a statement "The video is of great concern to everyone who has watched it. "
After the incident the superintendent took matters into her own hands boarding the bus herself, unannounced to let the kids know they should always tell adults whether they've been mistreated.
