INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- A judge will decide if a 15-year-old boy who police say took part in a string of robberies and the shooting of two Indianapolis men should be tried as an adult.
The Indianapolis Star reports the three-day hearing will begin May 28 in Marion County juvenile court.
The 15-year-old and a 17-year-old face charges including murder and attempted murder. Both were arrested in February following a two-day crime spree that ended in a four-vehicle crash.
Both are charged in the shooting death of 38-year-old John Yingling outside his home in Southport.
A second man was shot later the same day while walking his dog near Eagle Creek Park on Indianapolis' northwest side. That shooting spurred a chase that ended with the crash in nearby Brownsburg.
